Lesson 17. Printing with Windows NT > Working with the Print Folder

Working with the Print Folder

When you print a document, the printer usually begins processing the job immediately. But what if the printer is working on another job that you (or someone else, if you're working on a network printer) sent? When that happens, there is a print queue that holds the job until the printer is ready for it.

Plain English

Print Queue A holding area for jobs waiting to be printed. If you were to open the contents of the queue, the jobs would appear in the order they were sent to the printer.
