Connecting to Shared Folders

There are two ways to use a shared folder. The established way is to connect a drive letter on the client to a shared folder at the server. It is often referred to as mapping a drive to a shared folder. This can be done from the command prompt or in a batch file (such as one used in a logon script) by using the following NET USE command:

NET USE <drive>  \\ <computername>\<sharename>
