Scheduling Tasks

There are often a number of tasks that an administrator will want to run at set times, such as a virus scan or a backup. You can use the Windows 2000 Task Scheduler to create a set of tasks that can be run at some specific time in the future and have these tasks automatically start at the appropriate time.

If you want to schedule a task to run at a specific time, you can use the Task Scheduler to do that. Task Scheduler is a Windows 2000 service that starts automatically. You schedule tasks to run by using the Scheduled Tasks option in Control Panel.
