Creating and Using Installation Scripts

With installation scripts (also called unattended answer files), you can launch the Setup program and have it use a text file to provide the additional information normally supplied by the user during the installation process—such as the computer name, the network settings, the components to install, and so on. If you provide enough information in the script, you can fully automate the Setup program so that no user input is required.

To perform an unattended installation, you perform these steps:
