Enabling Logging

When logging is enabled, the DHCP server keeps track of lease requests, renewals, expirations, and denials; and writes them to a log that is in %systemroot%\System32\dhcp by default. The log is called DhcpSrvLog, and the extension depends on the day of the week on which it was created. A log file created on Sunday, October 24, 1999 would be called DhcpSrvLog.Sun. Log files are created only on days during which there was activity to log, and a given log file is overwritten after a week, assuming that activity takes place exactly seven days later.

To enable logging, do the following:
