Installing DNS

Before installing DNS, make sure that the DNS client has been properly configured on the server. The DNS client on the would-be DNS server should point at itself for DNS resolution. This is necessary to ensure that Dynamic DNS properly registers the new server.

When you are ready to install DNS, have the Windows 2000 source files handy. Here are the initial steps to take to install DNS:
