Configuring Network Interfaces

There are several things you need to be able to do as a Windows 2000 Network Adminstrator in relation to network interfaces. The following sections highlight some of the key activities for configuring network interfaces.

Adding and Removing LAN Adapters

Because Windows 2000 now supports Plug and Play, network adapters should be recognized automatically. If the adapter is not present, run the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard from Control Panel and add the network adapter just as you would any other piece of hardware.
