Chapter 20. Configuring Advanced Multiuser/Multisystem Cooperation Features

IN THIS CHAPTER

In this chapter, we will look at configuring advanced multiuser/multisystem cooperation features. We will first explore the NetInfo database, where Mac OS X stores much of this information, using the graphical interface available with the NetInfo Manager application. Next we will look at managing users through the NetInfo database using the NetInfo Manager. Then we will look at one way to manage users via the command-line NetInfo utilities. Finally, we will look at using and sharing disk resources with NFS. This too will involve interacting with the NetInfo database.
