Windows XP does more things, more easily, in more different ways than any previous version of Windows—and as part of the bargain, it's easier to use and more fun as well.

It's also the most stable version of Windows to date. You'll rarely, if ever, crash the operating system, and you'll most likely never see the infamous “Blue Screen of Death” (BSOD) screens that used to bedevil earlier versions of Windows. In fact, you'll most likely be able to keep XP running nonstop for as long as you want, without having to restart it frequently, as was often required by earlier versions of Windows.
