What to Look for in a Video Card

It's fairly easy to determine how much memory each video card has installed. The amount of memory installed on the card is usually printed in big, bold letters on the outside of the box. Video memory is usually referred to as VRAM.

VRAM, short for Video RAM (Random Access Memory), is a special type of high-speed memory designed for use in video cards. VRAM is typically not upgradeable because it is permanently installed in video cards.
