Part: III Getting Started with Windows > Navigating with Windows Explorer

Chapter 8. Navigating with Windows Explorer

Windows includes a comprehensive program that you might use every time you turn on your computer, the Windows Explorer program, which graphically displays your entire computer system, including all its files, in a hierarchical tree structure. With Explorer, you have access to everything inside your computer (and outside if you are part of a network or on the Internet).

This chapter demonstrates the Windows Explorer, a program that enables you to manipulate all of your computer's program and data files. After you've learned about Explorer, the chapter concludes by showing you some time- and disk-saving features of Windows XP.
