Tuning into the Internet

Internet radio started to attract interest in the mid-1990s. Today, literally thousands of terrestrial and Internet-only radio stations are broadcasting further then they ever could before. Media Player provides access to these servers through a special, regularly updated Web page (similar to the Media Guide) that allows you to store and search through currently operating stations. This is called Radio Tuner (see Figure 29.7).
