Chapter 10. Using Microsoft Outlook Expr... > Using Outlook Express Folders

Using Outlook Express Folders

Outlook Express folders are listed in the left pane of the Outlook Express window. As you learned earlier, the Inbox folder is used to store incoming e-mails, and the Outbox stores messages until it is time for Outlook Express to send them. The Sent Items folder can hold copies of messages you have sent, and the Deleted Items folder stores deleted messages until you empty the folder. “In progress” messages are stored in the Drafts folder.

To move a message to a different folder, simply drag the message from one folder to the next. For example, if you accidentally delete a message, click on the Deleted Items folder and then drag the message header back to your Inbox folder or any other folder in which you want to store it. Alternatively, you can right-click on a message header and select either Move to Folder or Copy to Folder, depending on whether you want to copy or simply move the message.
