Assigning User Rights

Given the complexities of the Windows XP operating system and the actions that it can perform, the two account types, Computer Administrator and Limited, are too general for most business environments. You have to choose all or nothing. An account created with all the rights of an administrator account can do anything on the system. A Limited user account basically allows users to do things with their own files and with resources to which the administrator of the computer grants them access.

You can grant rights to tailor a Limited account by assigning rights to a user or group or by placing a user into a group that possesses certain rights.
