Chapter 15. Managing Local Users > Using Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop

Using Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop

Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance features are built-in features of Windows XP. These features can make getting work done on your computer easier, and they can enable others to help you when you have problems. The following sections show you how to get the most from these useful features.

Using Remote Desktop

Remote Desktop is a feature that allows you to connect to another computer such as your work computer when you are at home and for all practical purposes, operate as if you were sitting at that remote computer. You will have access to the applications and resources on the remote computer, just as though they were on your local computer.
