Closing a Window

When you're finished with a window, you should close it. This frees up system resources for other activity. Closing a program's window is the same thing as exiting the program.

Some windows will immediately close themselves when you click the Close button; other windows—especially programs with open files—might ask if you want to save information before closing the window. This gives you an opportunity to save your open files before exiting the program. You can also close a window from the taskbar; just right-click the program's button, and select Close.
