Using the CD Player

With the CD Player, you can play audio CDs from your CD-ROM drive while you work with other applications. Follow these steps:

  1. Insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive. The CD Player starts up minimized, and the music begins playing. When you click on the application's taskbar button, its main window appears, as shown in Figure 19.1.

Figure 19.1. The CD Player plays audio CDs.

  2. The music begins playing. To pause the playback, click the Pause button. Click it again to resume. You can click other buttons as well, as shown in Figure 19.1.

  3. Use the toolbar buttons to control the playback and display (if the toolbar is not displayed, open the View menu and select Toolbar):

Track Time Elapsed Displays the track number and play time elapsed.

Track Time Remaining Displays the track number and time remaining for that track.

Disc Time Remaining Displays the time remaining on the disc.

Random Track Order Plays the tracks in random order.

Continuous Play After the last track has played, play continues with the first track.
