Starting a Windows Application

To use an application, you must start it. When a program is installed, a command to start it is placed on the Start menu. To access the proper command, click the Start button, select Programs, and then select the folder in which the program's start command is stored. (See Figure 16.1.) There are several other ways in which you can start programs:
