Using the Start Button

Almost every operation you initiate in Windows 98 begins with the Start button, located in the lower-left corner of the screen. You can start programs, change Windows features, locate files, shut down Windows, and perform other operations with the commands you'll find on the Start menu, as shown in Figure 1.2.
