Uninstalling Windows 98

If for some reason you and Windows 98 just aren't getting along, you can always get a divorce. In other words, you can always uninstall Windows 98 and put that part of your life behind you. Uninstalling Windows 98 can be easy or hard, depending on how you installed it in the first place:

The easy method: If you upgraded over Windows 95, told Setup to save backup copies of your system files, and haven't compressed your hard drive with DriveSpace, you can use Windows 98's Uninstall feature to remove Windows 98.

The hard method: If you installed Windows 98 in a separate directory, or if you've already deleted your old Windows 95 files, you need to uninstall Windows 98 by hand.
