Chapter 3. Organizing Your Stuff > The Folders of Windows XP

3.1. The Folders of Windows XP

The top-level, all-encompassing, mother-ship window of your PC is the My Computer window. From within this window, you have access to every disk, folder, and file on your computer. Its slogan might well be: "If it's not in here, it's not on your PC."

To see it, choose Start→My Computer, or double-click its icon on the desktop, if you've put it there (Section 1.2 ). (And if it is on your desktop, remember that you can rename it something that's a little more, well, dignified, by clicking it and then pressing the F2 key.)
