APPLE MAIL

COPY JUNK MAIL TRAINING TO ANOTHER MAC

The Annoyance:

I just spent several weeks training Apple Mail to filter junk mail like an obedient puppy. Now, it works great, and I no longer need to tell it what is junk and what isn't. In the meantime, my wife just got a new Mac, and we'd like to have spam filtering on it as well. Do we have to go through the whole training period again?

Tip:

To quickly forward a message from Mac OS X's Mail application, use the Shift--F keyboard shortcut. This creates a new message window, containing the selected message.

If you only want to forward (or reply to) a particular part of an email, select that text first and then hit the Forward (or Reply) button. Only the text you selected in the original email will appear in the new message window.
