A. Windows XP Keyboard Shortcuts

Appendix A. Windows XP Keyboard Shortcuts

Mice are great—if you’re a cat. But real power hounds prefer the time-saving keyboard shortcuts.

Since it’s not easy to find—let alone remember—Windows XP keyboard shortcuts, the tables in this appendix offer handy reminders, divided into three categories: surprisingly handy shortcuts that use the Windows logo key (Table A-1); common keyboard shortcuts that work in most Windows programs (Table A-2); and dialog box shortcuts (Table A-3).

Tip

Remember that for all the key combinations listed here, you need to start by holding down the first key listed, and then, while keeping the first key pressed, press the other keys.
