Chapter 5. Printing > Keep documents in the queue for resubmission

5.8. Keep documents in the queue for resubmission

By default Windows 2000 removes jobs from a printer's queue after the job finishes printing. In most cases you probably won't need to retain the documents in the queue, but you can configure the queue to retain the documents, if desired. This enables you to resubmit the print job if you find a problem with the completed job, such as the printer running out of toner in the middle of a long document.

5.8.1. Keeping printed documents in the queue

Retaining printed documents in the queue involves a quick change to a setting in the printer's properties.
