2.10. Schedule defrag for off hours

The Disk Defragmenter in Windows 2000 rearranges the data on the system's hard disk so that files are in contiguous clusters, improving performance and making available larger blocks of free space on the disk.

Unfortunately, the version of Disk Defragmenter included with Windows 2000 doesn't support command-line switches that would otherwise enable you to use the at or winat commands from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit to schedule a defragmentation operation for off hours.
