9.11. Specify more than two DNS servers or change their order

The General page of the TCP/IP properties enables you to specify two DNS servers. In most cases two is sufficient, but if your DNS servers are heavily loaded or are available sporadically, you might want to specify more than two or change the order in which the servers are attempted for resolution. You can change these properties through the advanced TCP/IP properties for the connection.

9.11.1. Use advanced DNS properties

Use the Advanced properties page to configure advanced DNS settings, such as changing DNS server order. Here's how to configure advanced settings:
