10.11. Reverse the connection and have the server call you to save toll charges

When you're working away from the office and need to dial in to access files, email, or other resources, the toll charges can sometimes be high, particularly if you're connected for an extended period. You can avoid incurring the charges for the call by having the server call you back. This has the added benefit of security if you always call from the same number, since your account can be configured at the server to always call you back at the same number. This eliminates the possibility for someone else to use your account to dial the server.

10.11.1. Set callback options on the server

The first step in enabling callback is to configure your account on the server for callback. You can configure the account to deny callback, allow you to specify the callback number, or always use the same callback number. The steps are much the same whether you're configuring callback on a Windows 2000 Server or Professional computer. The only real difference is how you get to the appropriate dialog box:
