3.8. Cached files on your computer are different from the server's copy

When you work with an offline file, its contents change from the original copy stored on the server, and the two files become unsynchronized. When you reconnect to the network (or the remote resource becomes available again), you need a means of synchronizing the copy on the server with the modified copy cached on your local system. Windows 2000 lets you easily synchronize offline files manually or automatically.

3.8.1. Synchronize offline files manually

You can synchronize a particular file or group of files separately from any other offline files, if desired, by performing a manual synchronization. Follow these steps to synchronize a locally cached file with the version on the server:
