Lesson 11. Use Your .Mac Account to Stay... > Sync Multiple Computers through .Mac

Sync Multiple Computers through .Mac

If you use more than one Mac, synchronization (using iSync) will make the data in your iCal calendars, Address Book contacts, and Safari bookmarks all match each other. You won't have to scurry from computer to computer trying to find Auntie Jean's phone number because when you add it to one Address Book, you can sync it to all the others. You can also sync your email accounts, signatures, and even Smart Mailboxes between computers so no matter where you go, you're not missing anything.

To sync between Macs, you need a .Mac account (see the opposite page), and you need the same .Mac account on both computers. This is because all of your information will be stored in your .Mac account on Apple's servers.
