To create a Smart Group

1.
Either from the File menu across the top of the screen or from the Action menu in the Address Book, choose “New Smart Group….”

In the sheet that drops down, as shown below, choose your parameters.

Click the + sign several more times to add several more parameters, if you need them.

If you want to see a visual clue that a new item has been added to the Smart Group, be sure to check the box to “Highlight group when updated.” Then when a new item is automatically added, the Smart Group will change color, as shown below.

As mentioned on the opposite page, some of the parameters require that you add that field to the template, as explained on page 91.
