Parental controls

You can apply parental controls to a user's Mail access, which allows that person to correspond only with the email addresses that you choose. This control is applied to the individual user (users are explained in Lesson 9).

1.
Go to the Apple menu and choose “System Preferences….”

2.
Single-click the “Accounts” icon.

3.
If the lock icon in the bottom-left corner is locked, single-click it and type the Administrator's password (which is your login password, if you are the Admin).

4.
Select the user to whom you'd like to apply parental controls.

5.
Click the “Parental Controls” button.

6.
Put a check in the box next to “Mail.app.”

7.
Click the “Configure” button. Enter the names of people with whom this user is allowed to communicate. Click OK.
