Bookmarks

The bookmarks in Safari are extremely powerful.

The Bookmarks Menu is what drops down from the menu bar across the top of your screen.

The Bookmarks Bar is that strip in the browser window you see above, just below the address field. To display it, go to the View menu and choose, “Show Bookmarks Bar.”

The Bookmarks Library and the various Collections you create let you organize hundreds of bookmarks, but you don't have to keep them all in the Bookmarks Menu, making your list a yard long. Click the “Show all bookmarks” button (shown on page 94) when you want to make new folders for organizing your bookmarks.

When you hit Command D to create a bookmark, a little sheet drops down and asks you where you want to store it. You can rename the bookmark at that point and choose any folder you have made in which to store it.
