Search for an Action

If you don't know where a particular action is, or even if one exists, use the search field.

1.
In the Library pane, first select the application you want to search.

To search more than one application, Command-click on their names.

If you want to search every application, make sure you select the “Applications” item, as shown below. When the Library pane is active, press Option UpArrow to select “Applications.”

To select the search field and make it ready for you to type, press Command Option F.

2.
Type a word or part of a word in the search field. Matching actions will appear in the Action list as you type. The more letters you type, the narrower your search.

3.
To delete the search so all actions appear in the list, click the X.
