TextEdit: CHANGING YOUR PAGE COLOR

Want to change the color of the background area of your TextEdit document? No problem—you just do it in a place where you probably won't think to look—in the Font panel. Just press Command-T to bring up the Font panel, and in the toolbar at the top of the panel, the fourth button from the left has a tiny page icon with a square color swatch. The swatch is white by default, but you can change your page color by clicking on this button and a Colors panel will appear, in which you can choose the page color of your choice.
