ADDING YOUR OWN KEYWORDS TO HELP FIND FILES

Let's say that sometime in the future you want to be able to instantly find all the photos of your kids, regardless of where or when the photos were taken. Well, you can do that by adding your own keyword to any photo that has one (or more) of your kids in the photo. Just click on the image file in an open Finder window, and then press Command-I to open the Info dialog. At the top of the dialog where it says “Spotlight Comments,” just click once in the empty field, type the keyword you want to use (for example, “kids” [without the quotes]), and then close the window. Now, when you type “Kids” in the Spotlight Search field, it will find those photos, regardless of what the file name is.
