iPhoto: INDIVIDUALIZED EDITING

If you want more control over editing your images in iPhoto, press Command–, (Comma key) to bring up the Preferences dialog. Click on the General icon, and where it says Double-click Photo, choose Opens Photo in Edit Window. Then, when you double-click a photo to edit it, your image opens into a different environment, giving you more control over your editing process.
