Chapter 10. Windows Media Player > Changing Player Appearance with Skins

Changing Player Appearance with Skins

You can change Media Player’s appearance by applying design schemes called skins. Each skin offers the essential controls—Play/Pause, Stop, Previous Track, Next Track, and Volume, along with the usual Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons—but skin appearance and features vary. Some skins link to visualizations or include playlists and audio controls; play around to see which skin has what.

To apply a skin:

1.
Click Skin Chooser on the Features taskbar.

2.
Select a skin from the list (Figure 10.12).

Figure 10.12. A preview of the skin appears in the right pane. Some skins are a triumph of form over function; it may take some hunting to find the Play button and other controls.

3.
Click Apply Skin on the toolbar.
