Searching the Web

Billions of Web pages are indexed by search engines, the most popular being Google (Figures 13.8 and 13.9). The Web grows so fast that no search engine can keep up, and no one engine knows about every page. Alternatives include www.alltheweb.com, www.teoma.com, and search.msn.com Find search-engine recommendations, news, and tips at www.searchenginewatch.com. You also can use IE’s Search Companion to search the Web.
