23. Aliases

A1: A representation of the real file. An alias goes and gets the real file.
A2: 2 to 3 K.
A3: Select a file, then from the File menu choose “Make Alias.” Or select a file, then press Command L. Or hold down the Control key, click on the file, choose “Make Alias.” Or hold down Command and Option, drag the file to another window or to the Desktop.
A4: Drop the file on the Favorites icon in the Toolbar.
A5: Nothing.
A6: Nothing; they stay, now useless, right where you left them.
A7: Click once on the alias. From the File menu, choose “Show Original” (or press Command R).
A8: On the Desktop.
A9: The file is actually put into the real folder.
A10: Nothing. The alias can still find it.
