Scroll Arrows

When a scroll bar has a scroller, it also has two scroll arrows. These arrows might be at either end of the scroll bars, or they might both be at one end, depending on what is chosen in the General preferences (shown on the following page). When you see scroll arrows, press on one arrrow to make the contents of the window glide past, like the scenery outside a train window. If you’ve never used scroll arrows before, it might seem like things are gliding past in the opposite direction you expect, but you’ll soon get accustomed to it and you’ll instinctively learn which arrow to press to slide the contents in the direction you want.
