Chapter 10. How to Use Folders > Opening a Folder in a New Window

Opening a Folder in a New Window

To move items from one folder to another, you can also open the folders in two different windows. As explained in Chapter 6, hold down the Command key and double-click a folder icon to open that folder into a new, separate window. Then you can arrange the two windows side by side so you can move items from one folder to another.

Or click the Hide/Show Toolbar button in the upper-right of the window, then when you double-click a folder icon it will open in a new, separate window.
