Protection from Everyone Else

Let's face it, anyone who has physical access to your PC has access to what's on it. There is no surefire way to completely protect your private stuff, but there are ways to greatly minimize the chance that someone can see what you're up to.

Let's start with the basics. Internet Explorer has a History function that keeps track of where you've been on the Web (for more detail about Internet Explorer, see Chapter 53.) That can be good, but if you don't want someone in your household or place of business to know where you've been, you'll have to cover your tracks.
