Configuring XP for Networking

Setting up a Windows network used to be a daunting task and it can still be troublesome. Although, Windows XP has a Network Setup wizard that makes the process a lot easier, I have to admit that I've had Windows networks fail to work, even under Windows XP. The technology is great when it works but there are times when it mysteriously fails to work. So if you have problems, don't feel stupid.

Before you run the networking wizard make sure you have all your hardware installed and working.
