Digital Camera

A digital camera looks and works pretty much like a film camera but images are saved to the camera's memory instead of on film. Digital photos don't have to be printed on special film paper, either: You can transfer them to your PC and print them on ordinary paper (or glossy paper, for better quality). You can also edit, enhance, and save digital images and put them on the Web or send them to your friends and family in email.

Just about all major camera companies and some PC companies make digital cameras. Prices start at as low as $99 and go all the way up into the thousands. You can now buy a pretty good camera for about $399. It's admittedly more expensive than a similar-quality film camera, but you'll appreciate the convenience of digital pictures.
