Unhiding File Extensions

By default, Windows XP hides the extensions for file types it knows about. I hate this feature. Sure, the screen is a little less cluttered without them, but it can be really useful to see the extensions, so you know at a glance what type of file you're dealing with. Fortunately, it's easy to change this.

Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
