VGA Port

This connects your monitor to your computer. It's built into a video card installed inside your PC. All CRT monitors and most LCD monitors use the same type of VGA connector. However, some LCD monitors use a special digital connector that's shaped differently. See Chapter 16 for more on VGA.

USB 2.0

As I write this book, PCs that support USB 2.0 are just starting to roll out. USB 2.0 is fully compatible with the original USB, but it's much faster. Instead of running at 12 Mbps, it's up to 480 Mbps, which means it's fast enough for video cameras, hard drives, and other high-speed devices.
