Scripting Addition Global Context Supported in Mac OS X 10.1

In versions of Mac OS X before 10.1, terms that belonged to scripting additions were not handled within tell blocks as expected. In Mac OS X 10.1, terms that belong to Scripting Additions are once again handled by most applications inside tell blocks, so simple behaviors such as displaying a dialog within a scriptable application will work in Mac OS X 10.1 as it does in Mac OS 9. Because of this, you should upgrade to Mac OS X version 10.1.

Script 6 provides a simple demonstration of how user interaction dialog boxes are shown in the script's window layer, not the frontmost application in versions of Mac OS X before 10.1.
