Life with File Suffixes & Path Delimiters

The file system itself has changed in Mac OS X. The concept of domains relates to the file system and user permissions. The path to command has been updated to include a new from modifier that lets you request paths to special folders based on the domain, so that you can get file paths for the ScriptingAdditions folder for a user, for the whole machine, or for the system. Figure 21 shows the dictionary entry for the Standard Additions path to command.
