Sorting Records

You can sort records in a form or a table by any field, and you can specify whether the order of the records should be ascending (a–z, 1–9) or descending (z–a, 9–1).

To sort records:

1.
In a form or in a table, click the field (in any record) on which you want to sort the data (Figure 33.9).

Click the Sort Ascending or Sort Descending button on the Access toolbar (Figure 33.10).

From the Records menu, choose Sort, and then choose Sort Ascending or Sort Descending from the Sort submenu.

The table is sorted (Figure 33.11).
