Saving Your Work

To avoid losing changes to documents should the power suddenly fail or your system crash unexpectedly, you should save your work often.

To save your work:

1.
From the File menu, choose Save.

or

Click the Save button (Figure 2.31).

Press Ctrl+S.

If the current document is new, in the File Name text box, type a filename over the temporary document name (Figure 2.32).

Specify where you want the document to be stored and then click Save or pres Enter.

If the Properties dialog box appears, you can enter as much information in the text boxes as you want, pressing Tab to move from text box to text box (Figure 2.33).

5.
Click OK.
